Breakfast Conversations at the Red Vic
aka World Conversations

"There are people everywhere who form a Fourth World, or a diaspora of their own.... They can be Christians or Hindus or Muslims or Jews or pagans or atheists. They can be young or old, men or women, soldiers or pacifists, rich or poor. They may be patriots, but they are never chauvinists.... When you are among them you know you will not be mocked or resented, because they will not care about your race, your faith, your sex or your nationality.... They are exiles in their own communities, because they are always in a minority, but they form a mighty nation, if they only knew it...."

  World Conversations

You are invited to join World Conversations every Sunday morning at nine o'clock, hosted by Sami Sunchild at the Red Victorian Bed & Breakfast and Peace Center. World Conversations bringing together diverse people around topics that matter in their own lives and in the world. They include our own guest travelers and members of the local community, both invited and drop-in.

Each informal World Conversation (of 4 to 9 people) has a broad theme (global citizenship, travel insights, environment, for example.) It begins with participants in turn, telling their names and where they are from, and sharing briefly what is in their hearts and on their minds regarding the theme. From there the conversation takes off spontaneously and even when it is formally ended, new friends often linger, perhaps meeting again later in the day or week.

Start your own World Conversations back home! World Conversations are held at appointed times in hotels, cafes, any public place where travelers and locals gather anywhere in the world. Let us know how we can help you to further worldwide dialog and bring strangers together so we are strangers no more.
